Students will illustrate books by using the style glyphs of the 20 "day Signs" in the Aztec sacred calendar.
We are so excited as we have started to learn so much about the Mesoamerican Cultures. We are digging deep just like the archeologist who discovered the wonders that these people left behind.
Thank you for visiting my webpage. Many students have told me this page helps diminish study and test fears.
We are finishing up our packets and after we will continue on with our books and cover 6A and writing silly sentences using the occupational words, the verb ser, and adjectives.
DeWald and Boever classes - Next Wed 18
Johnson – Friday 20th
5th grade students will be testing in Spanish class over the verb Ser and the conjugations. I have sent a packet home that we are working on that is also to be used as a study guide along with page 4A of the Sing and Speak book. Please note that we will also be testing over the first paragraph of the packet I am sending home with the students. Just in case they forget:
The verb ser (to be) is used with adjectives to describe people or things. Ser does not follow a regular pattern like the –ar verbs. It is an irregular verb.
Students will also have to conjugate the verb in a few sentences.
Thank you,
Mrs. Johnson
Johnson's class has homework over the verb ser pages 4c and 4d in Sing and Speak Books
Ser- a verb that means- to be
In Spanish 2 verbs share the same meaning.
Estar and Ser
Students have learned the verb estar and the conjugations. Now they will learn the verb SER and its conjugations. We are working on 4A in the workbook. Please have your child practice and study the conjugations for Ser:
Yo - soy
tú - eres
èl,ella,usted - es
nosotros- somos
ellos,ellas,ustedes - son
We will be testing this week! Also all 5th grade class can use quia to practice our words!
Students are currently learning sentences from page 2b using estar to describe feelings.
Students have started their Red Sing and Speak books. The very first verb that they will learn is the verb estar. They will conjugate the verb estar along with knowing their Pronouns. This is page1a and 1b of their books.
What is new? Students are now working on at home projects called,
En el Mar
Students have been given packets to help guide them to succeed. This is a super way for the students to use the verb "estar" in location. I handed out poster boards so that you will not have to buy one.
