We have started our Animales de la Selva unit. Animals of the jungle. Students will not only complete a packet full fun jungle activities, but will also get to watch a video called Wild South America - lots of animals and footage unique to the jungles of South America!
3rd grade - Comida, food is our unit and are we having fun with it! Students are making food posters in class. Here are the words in this unit. We are not testing at this time. We are working on food related projects, worksheets and stories at this time. Her is our vocabulary:
Feb - Students are reading a series of online books that have animation and audio capabilities. We are enjoying reading and translating the familiar stories such as, Little Red Riding Hood
We are working on the 4 seasons. Students are translating the color and reading book, Las Estaciones Cambian. The seasons change.
Objective to learn the four seasons:

1.Otoño- fall
2. Invierno - winter
3.Primavera- spring
4.Verano - summer
Students will also learn weather conditions such, it is cold, warm, hot, windy, ect.
Students will translate the paragraphs then have time to color in the pictures for each page.
Here is our new list. Students are learning "the opposites" We wil take our time and learn the way the words are pronounced in class. Students will bring home a worksheet that we will work on in class to help them learn and study the new words.

We are learning more objects in a classroom and the verb estar, and how to use it in a sentences to describe the location of an object. We will combine all of our words to form basic sentences.
