Fifth grade will wind up in less than 48 hours, and we are sure that our future sixth graders will be up to the challenges of middle school.  Please remind them that it is of the utmost importance for them to stay sharp over the summer, though.  Encourage your child(ren) to participate in the Elkhorn Library summer reading program; it's a great motivator!  They'll also want to practice math facts on a daily basis.  You might also want to consider having them journal about any and all visits that occur during the summer, too! 

          Please know that it was a pleasure working with each one of your children.  They are a delight and so much fun that I had to sign up to work with them again during their junior high years!  Be safe and take care of one another.
