In working with the 5th Grade class level we will be doing alot of work with basic skill foundation. From there we will be building into more advanced skills were we are putting multiple basic skills to use in one activity. We will start with an orientation to get to know each other and understand class rules and expectations. From there we will begin building skills with locomotion, body and space awareness.
As part of the Physical Education curriculum 5th thru 8th grade will be participating in the 1 mile run next week. The plan is for the kids to run during their second scheduled P.E. class that week. This also depends on the forecast for next week as well. The purpose of this is to get times of each of the students and then later in the year run the mile for the second time in hopes that the times will improve from the first. This is a great way to see the kids improving in P.E. and also their dedication throughout the year.
