Students will be introduced to the vocabulary list on the first day of the school week, typically Monday.  They will be given a written list of all ten words, their definitions and parts of speech.  In class each day, we will focus on 3-4 words.  We will work on moving from recognition to application of the given words.  The vocabulary test will occur on the final day of the week, typically Friday.  Studetns will be read the definition, and will expected to correctly spell the word and identify the correct part of speech. 

Each week, the students will have the opportuntiy to earn up to 5 bonus points.  They can earn these by correcly using one of the vocabulary words in their daily work or by finding it in print.  The students are responsible for showing bonus use to Mrs. Nelson.
