This week we will begin a section in Science about plant and animal cells.  Next week, we will create a cell in groups. 

Students will have the option of creating either a plant or animal cell. Diagrams of these cells can be found on pages A12-A13 in their Science text book.

Thursday, Friday, and Monday I am asking that the students bring in the materials they may need to create the cell in the beginning of next week.  The items that they will need is the following:  a shoe box(or a tupperware container).  Some materials that may be used are fruit or veggies, bread, pipe-cleaners, construction paper, and toothpicks.  Students may use additional supplies also.

Students will label the parts of the cells, after they have created the entire cell.  Students will be assessed on creativity and accuracy..
