I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing weekend.  It is hard to believe that September is already here!

This past week, the 5th grade continued to keep busy. 

In the beginning of the week, the Science classes created their very own cells!  The materials, thought, and  much planning showed when they presented their projects to the entire 5th grade class!  What an accomplishment!  Some projects included bread and fruit, which we are now watching mold. 

This coming week, we will be learning about classification in Science.

The 5th graders have begun to create Capitalization and Punctuation Flipper Cards.  We are learning about when to place punctuation and capitalization.  Also, the students have been studying when to start new paragraphs in writing.  We have been calling it the New P Rule.  On Wednesday, Sept 5, the 5th grade will have a quiz over the New P Rule.
