This week was full of many happenings for the 5th graders!
The 5th graders have waited patiently for this day to come! We experienced the transformation of our first caterpillar into a beautiful monarch butterfly. After 14 long days, the new butterfly shed the chrysalis. The 5th grade was reminded of the great wonders of God’s creations! Later on Wednesday afternoon, we released our little butterfly outside to start on his migration south.
Science
We have begun Chapter 2 in Science. In this Chapter, we will discuss cell division and how traits that are passed along. During class work, the 5th grade made vocabulary cards for the chapter.
Language Arts
We have begun the final stage of our Capitalization and Punctuation Flipper Cards. During class, the 5th graders have reviewed other flipper cards, searching for spelling errors, so our flippers would be perfect! We are excited that we will be able to use the Flipper Cards throughout the year and years to come.
The Boever Homeroom Parent Luncheon is scheduled for Friday, October 26. Please mark your calendars, as the kiddos and I would like to spend our lunch time with you!
