We were reminded of God's wonderful creations again this week. We have class pets! After finding one caterpillar and watched it in the stages of life, we found 3 more! These 3 have been so active and entertaining throughout the week. The 5th grade continues to wait in eager anticipation for the arrival of our butterfly. Also, we have a garden spider with us! The 5th grade has been reminded to keep the lid closed, so that out pet doesn't escape! It has been a wonderful experience to watch the spider eat live crickets and to observe it's life.
On Monday, we begin ITBS testing. The 5th graders may bring healthy snacks for breaks. Please see the list of healthy snacks provided: Fruit – dried or fresh that is washed, Popcorn,Granola bars,Pretzels,Fruit snacks,Fruit or vegetable chips (not potato chips),Cereal bars,100 calorie packs, and crackers and cheese. A bottled water will suffice for a drink.
Also on Monday, we will begin our final steps of creating our Flipper Cards. Please send a small poster board with your child to school.
Our Wonder of the Week this week involves Skim, 1%, 2% milk, and Whole Milk. If you willing, please send 1/2 gallon or less of one type of milk on Thursday. Thanks so much!
