The week flew by so quickly!  Boever homeroom assisted with Mass on Tuesday.  They did a great job praising the Lord!

We were reminded of God's wonderful creations this week.  On Wednesday, several 5th graders discovered a caterpillar.  They carefully held the caterpillar, while others gathered twigs, leaves, and grass.  We brought it to the classroom, where, within a few hours created a chrysalis.  After researching, we discovered that it is most probably a monarch, and will become a beautiful butterfly around Sept. 26.  We look with much anticipation to that day!

Thank you for contributing the celery and food coloring to our classroom.  We have been observing the change that takes place in the celery.  The kiddos have been comparing which color is winning.  The red coloring is dominating!

In Science, we are preparing for our first Unit Test of the year.  The study guide was handed out on Monday, to provide a good week and a half of studying. Please continue to review with your child, using the study guide, notes, and vocab cards.

The 5th grade is half way through creating Flipper Notecards!  Our hands are getting good, solid exercise!  The date projected for the Punctuation and Capitalization Check-up is Oct. 8th. 

Progress Reports will come home this week.
