We had a great first full week of school!

This week in Science, we are going to create cells.  The students will use household items to create an animal or plant cell.  Last week, we brainstormed items that could be used for the cells.  After we construct the cells, we will display them in the room for all of the 5th grade to see.  If you would like more information, please click on the following link: cell creations.

In Language Arts, we will continue to review how to proofread our writings.  The 5th graders will begin this week to develop Capitalization and Punctuation Flipper Notes.  Flipper Notes will assist the 5th graders in reviewing and learning rules for capitalization and punctuation.  The Flipper Notes is an organized method of learning the rules.  Thes notes can be used throughout 5th grade and beyond.

We will continue to develop our note taking skills in Science and Language Arts.
